Quick-read zine from some guys in an Ohio lockdown who try to put an emphasis, believe it or not, on laughing at themselves. DZAH has a bunch of short pieces from five or six contributors, ranging from all the trouble one of the guys got into as a kid to the many uses of paperclips in prison. The layout's typewritten and pasted. Content-wise it's nothing great, but when it's put in perspective, the fact that these guys are managing to do a zine and insert some fun into it is noteworthy. And, as one of the contributors notes, it's really not bad for a bunch of guys with limited resources. Sounds like they're going to be plowing ahead with a third issue as well, so drop ‘em a letter and say hi—that desire for communication seems to be the essential point of Dial Zero And Hold. –Keith Rosson (Anthony Martin, #293246, PO Box 540, St. Clairsville, OH 43950)
